Daniel Bye is a writer and theatremaker based in Lancaster, north west England. His work for theatre has been commissioned and produced by theatres and companies including Leeds Playhouse, HOME Manchester, Oxford Playhouse, Northern Stage, Royal & Derngate, Red Ladder and many more. This work has won multiple awards, including two separate Scotsman Fringe Firsts, and has toured extensively across the UK and internationally.

Recent work related to running includes These Hills Are Ours, Learning to Fly (Again) and As If Our Lives Depended On It. This has led to guest spots on numerous running-related podcasts and features in sporting media as diverse as Runner’s World, The Guardian and L’Equipe.

Alongside his creative practice, he works as a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Lancaster University.
